On September 26th, 2024, REE was honored to be one of the main sponsors and venue sponsor for the “Beyond Zero” film screening event and panel discussion held at e.town 6, REE’s LEED Platinum-certified commercial office building in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
The film screening, hosted by Dear Our Community and Sustainova, brought together leaders in sustainability, businesses, chambers of commerce, and media to explore impactful narratives, and discuss sustainable development practices in Vietnam.
The event began with the inspiring screening of “Beyond Zero”, which highlights Interface’s remarkable transition from a conventional carpet manufacturer to a global sustainability pioneer. The audience was captivated by the film’s storytelling and Interface’s bold goal to eliminate all negative environmental impact by 2020.
Following the film, a panel of speakers shared their insights, and a spirited group discussion took place on the topic of “The Role of Sustainable Building on Company Carbon Footprint and Employee Well Being”. The panelists discussed the future of sustainable urban development, the importance of green building certifications, and how companies can lead the change in reducing their environmental footprint.
The discussion was attended by Mr. Jonas Ringstad, Property Manager of REE Real Estate Company Limited. He shared, “The film Beyond Zero aligns perfectly with the mission and values of e.town. This event, more than a film screening, catalyzed connections among businesses interested in sustainable development and beyond. By hosting the event and leveraging the communication reach of business associations and leaders, e.town aims to inspire companies and individuals to think bigger about sustainability”.
The event concluded with a tour of e.town 6, a green construction within e.town Campus, showcasing its cutting-edge sustainability features; guests and attendees also had the opportunity to learn about “Troldtekt eco-friendly acoustic panels”, exclusively distributed in Vietnam by REEPRO Service and Manufacturing Company Limited.
